This perfectly shaped small plate with straight edges is often called a bread plate, ideal for presenting a pastry or side dish, or to be used as a saucer. As for its manufacture, after a first firing of the clay at low temperature, reactive enamels of different colours are applied to the stoneware and give it a unique, circular relief. The appearance of nuances of colour from one piece to another is the result of a skilful mix of firing techniques and the way the enamel is applied.
