This pair of 29x17cm serving trays plays the free-form card, with a rounded outline that is never quite regular. Aperitif nibbles, cheese, petits fours or roasted vegetables: their elongated format slips easily between the dishes on an already busy table.
Made from earthenware fired at 1150°C, each piece receives a carefully applied surface decoration, whose speckled brown-grey nuances echo the grain of raw earth. The glossy finish brings these variations to life and catches the light differently depending on the angle, giving very simple shapes a material that holds the eye.
DUNE draws on the shapes the wind creates: full, rounded volumes, without ridge or sharp angle, set on a clear foot that gives them their footing. Its Clay version dresses them in a speckled, glossy brown-grey, somewhere between raw earth and still-damp sand. An organic, warm collection that brings roundness to the table with a resolutely current look.
